I’ve been fussing about with color studies for several days (there are probably twice as many color variations than shown above) and as you can see in the top photo, the drawing is on the board and ready to go. I do believe I’m ready to start this thing! I’m excited to start this one partly because I’m going to do somewhat of an underpainting in acrylic. I think it will be a tremendous help for building up areas of transparent oils. Haven’t done a true underpainting in years and years. Last time I did one, I practically painted the painting twice, which is not really the point of an underpainting. So hopefully I’ve learned better and this will be a better effort.
And so I keep it short to be selfish…so I can get to work. Later y’all!
